Dear Mr. Phaolo Thai,
First of all, we sincerely thank you for the words you shared with us, which come from a heart deeply concerned for the homeland and the Vietnamese people. We appreciate this goodwill, even though, on certain points, our assessments and viewpoints remain different.
As you know, the members of our group are now all over 80 years old. For more than half a century, both inside the country and abroad, out of love for our homeland, our people, and our faith, we have steadfastly committed ourselves to a peaceful and non-violent struggle for human rights, freedom, democracy, religious freedom, and the defense of Vietnam’s territorial integrity, with the conviction that all just efforts lie within Divine Providence.
Our activities focus on two main areas:
First – Internal action:
Calling on our compatriots within Vietnam, especially those who remain deeply concerned about the nation’s destiny and their faith, to awaken promptly and not allow themselves to be led astray by the deceptive, violent, and inhumane propaganda machinery of the communist regime.
Second – External action:
Continuously raising our voices before international public opinion to denounce the serious crimes committed by the Vietnamese communist government against its own people: violations of human rights, repression of religion, and the suffocation of fundamental freedoms. These efforts are not in vain, as the international community increasingly recognizes the true nature of this regime. The United Nations, the European Parliament, the U.S. Congress, and successive Presidents of the United States have repeatedly and publicly condemned the human rights violations and crimes against humanity committed by the Vietnamese authorities.
We understand and share your disappointment with the current situation. However, world history shows that no dictatorial regime lasts forever. The people of Venezuela have risen and continue to struggle to change the fate of their country; Iranian society is also undergoing transformation under pressure from its own people. Vietnam cannot be an exception.
We fully agree with you that nothing can succeed without help from above, for:
“Man proposes, God disposes.”
We believe in the power of Almighty God, and we also believe that God calls upon human beings to cooperate with Him through conscience, perseverance, and righteous action. Prayer does not exclude action; on the contrary, prayer is the source of strength that prevents people from surrendering to evil.
Therefore, we continue on the path we have chosen:
to pray – to speak out – to persevere in peaceful struggle, with the firm conviction that light will ultimately overcome darkness, and that the Vietnamese people will one day be liberated from the brutal domination of atheistic communism.
May the peace and light of God accompany every step you take.

Letter to Dr. Lê Thị Lễ and her group
I deeply value the sincerity of the Doctor and her group toward the homeland and the Vietnamese people. You wish for Vietnam to escape the great calamity of atheistic communism; this is also the wish of every Vietnamese person with a conscience, and it is my wish as well.
However, what you have done and are doing will yield no results, even until the day you pass away, for the following reasons:
1. The leaders of nations, for the most part, love themselves, money, and power—about 90%; the remaining 10% is reserved for love of their own country. They no longer have love to care for another country if that country brings no benefit to them or to their nation. Therefore, they pay no attention to the Doctor’s and her group’s appeals to help Vietnam escape the calamity of communism.
2. As for the Vietnamese communist leaders, they are 100% devoted to themselves, to money, and to power; they no longer have any love for the people or for the nation. They are ready to sell the country for their personal interests. Therefore, anyone who calls on the Vietnamese communists to change is living in an illusion, regardless of which country such calls come from. Trọng Lú himself stated:
“Changing to a multi-party system is suicide.”
3. After 80 years, the Vietnamese communists have largely succeeded in poisoning the youth with the ideology that “loving the Party is loving the country.” Anyone who speaks up to call for change in Vietnam will be fiercely opposed by this indoctrinated youth, because they believe that the wretched Hồ Chí Minh is a national hero and the eternal father of their nation.
What must we do so that the Vietnamese people can escape the great calamity of atheistic communism?
I cannot do it; you cannot do it; and the Vietnamese people cannot do it either. But I know One who can: Jesus Christ:
“Without Me, you can do nothing.”
To save the Vietnamese people and free them from the calamity of atheistic communism, there is only one path: the Vietnamese nation must return to Jesus Christ. If more than 90% of Vietnamese abandon false gods, false religions, and absurd beliefs, and return to Jesus Christ, and if Jesus Christ does not then save Vietnam from the calamity of atheistic communism, I am ready to offer my head for you to cut off.
Lord Jesus, You are the Almighty God and also the Father of humanity. We beseech You to enlighten the Vietnamese people, granting them the wisdom to place their trust in You, for You alone can save Vietnam from the great calamity of atheistic communism. Amen.
